Paula Pohja-Hutchison is the Global Policy & Advocacy Director for AstraZeneca’s Vaccine and Immune Therapies Unit. She has supported AstraZeneca’s work with COVAX, the initiative set up by Gavi, CEPI, WHO and UNICEF to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines, and to support fair and equitable access. Before working on the COVID-19 vaccine programme she supported the company’s Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism Therapy Area. Prior to joining AstraZeneca’s, Paula worked in the European Parliament in Brussels, the Foreign Office and in consultancy in London. She has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry and working in public policy.
