The Pioneer Prize is a Nordic youth initiative and changemaker network, driven by Nordic Safe Cities in cooperation with the Nordic Embassies in Copenhagen. The prize promotes the great role played by youth in generating safe democratic local communities and celebrates noteworthy actions undertaken by courageous Nordic youth; actions that draw on Nordic values of democracy, equality, mutual respect and trust.
The prize is annually awarded to 4 Nordic youth no older than the age of 25, who have demonstrated considerable devotion to increase local safety and cohesion in their Nordic community, by tackling polarization, hate and social exclusion. Anyone can nominate anyone who fits this description, and the winners are chosen by our Nordic Youth jury.
The award consists of a 25.000 DKK scholarship, and mentorship through the Nordic Safe Cities network.
